5 Chimneys
Johnson Fain
5 Chimneys was a study of two options in the concept design phase in Dallas, Texas. One concept looked at 250,000 square feet of office space including a portion being live work. The second option looked at 125,000 square feet of office space and a residential tower making 294 apartment units. Each option presented its own obstacles with setbacks, zoning, height restrictions, and parking requirements.
Alexandra’s role during this project was to work with a team of one other senior designer and a principal to develop two schemes from start to final presentation of the concept design in a three-month study. One of her primary tasks was developing the Lumion model from scratch including the context of the entire Downtown Dallas to be used for early concept renderings.
